Processing Times
Every piece is made just for you, meaning it does not exist until you order it.
(This excludes some items in shop.)
Production time: 1 to 2 weeks, may vary during busy seasons, holidays, or unexpected delays.
Shipping time: 3 to 5 business days domestically (South Africa) once dispatched.
We are a small, passionate team, not a warehouse. While we work as quickly as we can, handmade items require time and care. Thank you for understanding.
Shipping Delays & Liability
Shipping times at checkout are estimates only. Delays can happen due to postal services.
We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or misdelivered packages, including incorrect addresses or postal errors.
Shipping insurance is included via PUDO for domestic shipments.
If your package arrives damaged, please submit full photo and video evidence within 48 hours of delivery to initiate the claims process with our shipping insurer.
International Shipments
Due to the volatility of taxes, tariffs, and customs fees, the quoted customs amount may change before final payment is made. Duties and import taxes will be paid on your behalf where arranged.
Once the package has been dispatched, it is out of our control. Any delivery issues, customs delays, or lost packages must be taken up with the local delivery team or customs office. Shipping insurance will be applied to the shipment, but it is the buyer's responsibility to file any claims with the insurer or carrier.
Custom Commission Terms
1. Deposit & Payment
A nonrefundable deposit (agreed upon quotation) is required to begin work.
The remaining balance plus shipping costs must be paid within 48 hours of final approval, via photo or video confirmation.
Deposit refunds are only issued if the final item is not approved before shipping.
2. Approval Process
You will receive photos or videos of the completed item for approval before shipping.
Minor adjustments can be requested at this stage. Major changes may incur additional fees.
3. Shipping
Shipping costs and delivery timelines depend on your location. Tracking is provided.
Once dispatched, the item becomes the customer's responsibility.
4. Refunds & Returns
No returns or exchanges for custom made items, unless damaged in transit. Proof required within 48 hours of delivery.
Deposits are only refundable if we cannot fulfill the order as agreed.
If your item does not fit due to incorrect measurements or specifications provided by you, this is not our responsibility. We will make the corset precisely to the measurements you supply.
However, customer satisfaction is our priority. In the event of an ill fitting item, please contact us so we can find a suitable resolution on a case by case basis.
5. Timeline
Typical completion is 2 to 4 weeks after fabric and materials confirmation.
Delays, such as material shortages, will be communicated promptly.
We provide regular updates throughout the process and welcome your feedback or questions at any stage.
6. Responsibilities
Accurate measurements must be provided. Redcap Renaissance is not liable for fit issues due to incorrect specifications or measurements.
Colour variations may occur due to screen or monitor differences.
By commissioning, you agree to these terms.
